Need support on Postfix® MTA?

A technical partner for reliable and delivered business mail

Email is one of the most critical services for a company: a blacklisted server, a blocked queue, or an insecure configuration immediately translates into lost communications and damaged reputation. We design, manage, and optimize email infrastructures based on Postfix® MTA, integrating Dovecot, Rspamd, SpamAssassin, DNSBL lists, and SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication. From SMTP policy configuration to queue tuning, spam filtering, and domain protection, the goal is one: stable, fast, and delivered email, even at high volumes.

Mail server design

A mail infrastructure tailored to your company

We design and configure corporate mail servers based on Postfix® MTA , sized based on the number of mailboxes, traffic volumes, and security requirements. Each project integrates the necessary components: Dovecot or Courier for mailboxes, Rspamd and SpamAssassin for filtering, DNSBL/RBL to reject unwanted connections.

We cover every step of the way, from architecture to advanced configuration of queues, SMTP policies, relays, and transports , and enable SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to improve message delivery and protect your domain reputation.

The result is a stable, secure, and documented mail server , ready to grow with your organization.

IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, also encrypted

Secure communications with TLS, compatible with any client

Mailboxes can be accessed via IMAP, POP3, and SMTP from Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and any other email client, on computers and mobile devices.

We enable encrypted IMAPS, POP3S, and SMTPS versions , as well as STARTTLS submission, with commercial or automatically renewing Let's Encrypt certificates . Credentials and messages are always protected from interception and unauthorized access.

Roundcube Webmail

Roundcube Webmail

Company email from any browser

Our mail servers include Roundcube , the most popular open source webmail: modern and fast interface, address book, filters, folders and secure access from any Internet-connected device.

Your team can access and manage email from anywhere , without installing software, improving productivity and business continuity.

Simple and complete management panel

Self-managed mailboxes, domains and aliases

Our mail servers integrate PostfixAdmin , the web panel that allows you to manage your mail without technical intervention: creation and modification of mailboxes and domains , aliases, forwarding, automatic replies for absences, space quotas and catch-all addresses.

Administrators maintain full control of corporate email, with instant action and rules applied consistently across all domains.

Mail management interface
AntiVirus and AntiSpam

Integrated AntiSpam and AntiVirus

Protection from viruses, malware and dangerous attachments, even compressed ones

Email security is built into our Postfix-based mail servers, with no external gateways or additional services to purchase: Amavis for content analysis, ClamAV for antivirus, and Rspamd for spam detection.

DNSBLs block suspicious senders upon connection, while SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks reduce phishing and sender spoofing.

All this is included in the packages : complete protection for businesses of any size.

Automatic hourly backup

60-day time and history recovery against technical and human errors

With the Mail Time Machine feature , mail servers are protected by hourly ZFS snapshots , which allow you to restore mailboxes and messages up to 60 days into the past.

Data resides on a dual geographic SAN infrastructure in RAID6 , ensuring redundancy and integrity. Accidentally deleted emails or overwritten content can be recovered in moments, without interrupting service.

SPF - DKIM - DMARC

SPF, DKIM and DMARC

More messages delivered, less spam and a secure domain

We configure and maintain SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) according to industry best practices to authenticate your emails and reduce the risk of them ending up in spam.

We manage single-domain DKIM signatures , define progressive DMARC policies, and analyze authentication reports to prevent abuse of your domains and protect your brand reputation.

Mail migration included

All emails and folders transferred from your current provider, at no additional cost

After the new mail server is put into production, we transfer the contents from the old provider with ImapSync , which synchronizes the entire IMAP structure: folders, subfolders, and messages, preserving the complete history.

We handle every step, from data transfer to DNS record changes, for a seamless transition . Migration is included in your chosen package.

server cost savings

Clear and competitive costs

You pay for infrastructure and management, not individual mailboxes

Many solutions charge a fee for each email address. We calculate the cost only for the infrastructure and overall management , with a transparent model that allows savings of up to 70% compared to the main competitors.

Packages include design, implementation, system support , and all security technologies: antivirus, antispam, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. An enterprise-level service, with no hidden costs , accessible to small and large businesses.

99,998% availability

High availability, up to 99,999% uptime

Email is a critical resource for your business. That's why we design infrastructures with redundant servers, replicated storage, and automatic failover , tailored to your network and needs.

For the most complex scenarios, we create highly reliable multi-datacenter architectures , capable of handling even very high email volumes, with anti-spam, antivirus, hourly ZFS snapshots, and automatic backups to protect data.

MX Geo Backup

MX geographic backup

Always receive mail, thanks to redundant backup MXs in Europe

We support the main MX server with backups distributed across multiple European data centers. If the primary server is unavailable, messages are received and stored securely, and automatically delivered as soon as the service is operational again.

This architecture protects your communications from hardware failures, network outages and unforeseen events : no emails lost, even at critical times.

Enterprise storage with CEPH and OpenZFS

Enterprise-grade storage reliability

The boxes reside on CEPH , a distributed storage platform with automatic data replication, load balancing, and high fault tolerance, and on OpenZFS , a file system known for its data integrity, snapshots, and efficient compression.

This combination ensures high performance and stability even under heavy loads, and data is always protected and recoverable in the event of a failure.

FAQ

Postfix is an open-source Mail Transfer Agent (MTA): the software that sends, receives, and routes email between servers. Created as a faster and more secure alternative to Sendmail, it is now one of the most popular MTAs in the world for reliability, security, and performance with large mail volumes.

Postfix handles the SMTP protocol; integrated with Dovecot or Courier, it offers access to mailboxes via IMAP and POP3. Its modular architecture allows you to add antivirus, antispam (Rspamd, SpamAssassin), secure authentication, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC: it's the ideal foundation for scalable and secure mail servers.

No. Postfix is an open source project and there is no official commercial support run by the developers.

We are a systems services company active since 2005 in the design, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Postfix-based mail servers, with experience in integrating antivirus, antispam, DNSBL, Rspamd, SpamAssassin, Dovecot, Courier, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, from small businesses to enterprise infrastructures.

Yes. The mail servers are protected by hourly ZFS snapshots with a 60-day history (Mail Time Machine), allowing you to restore mailboxes and messages in a matter of seconds. The data resides on a dual geographic SAN infrastructure in RAID6.

Backup MXs distributed across multiple European data centers receive and retain email even when the primary server is unreachable, and automatically deliver it upon recovery. For the most critical scenarios, we design multi-datacenter architectures with automatic failover.

Yes. Each customer has access to a simple and comprehensive web panel, allowing them to independently manage their mail server: creating mailboxes and domains, changing passwords, aliases and forwarding, automatic absence replies, and space quotas.

Changes are applied in real time, without the need to open a ticket for day-to-day operations.

The service lasts for a month and renews monthly: there are no annual commitments or penalties.

You can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice, allowing you to plan ahead for the potential migration of your mailboxes and DNS records without interrupting your email delivery and reception. In the event of cancellation, we'll provide you with the configuration documentation and support you with the migration.

Yes. The preliminary consultation is free and without obligation. It allows us to understand your needs and for you to learn about our service in detail.

To get started, we only need a little information, such as your company domain and the number of mailboxes you need to manage. With this information, we'll prepare a technical assessment and a clear, detailed quote, tailored to your organization.

Yes. Managed Server is an Italian company and provides its services in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679), in force since May 25, 2018, which applies to anyone processing the personal data of European Union citizens.

Data relating to your infrastructure and support requests is processed within the European Union and deleted within 30 days of completion of the activity. Email is hosted in European data centers.

The causes are usually technical and measurable: missing or incorrect SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records, a PTR (reverse DNS) record that is inconsistent with the server name, an IP address that is blacklisted or has a compromised reputation, or bulk emails from an unprepared server.

We analyze bounce headers and Postfix logs, check blacklists, correct DNS records and server configuration, and, if necessary, follow deletion procedures. We then set up DMARC reporting to monitor delivery over time.

We filter incoming email with Rspamd or equivalent tools, supported by ClamAV for attachments, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks for senders, and reputation lists. Rules are tailored to real traffic to reduce false positives.

The outgoing server must never be an open relay: we require authentication for sending, set per-user sending limits, and block repeated login attempts with Fail2Ban. This prevents a compromised password from turning into a spam campaign that damages the domain's reputation.

Yes. We copy mailboxes and folders from the old provider with tools like imapsync, which transfers messages via IMAP while maintaining the folder structure and read message status.

We shorten the DNS records' TTL in advance, perform an initial full backup, and perform a final synchronization immediately after the MX record change. This ensures no messages are lost and users continue to work without interruption.
