A record SPF abbreviation of Sender Policy Framework is a type of Domain Name Service (DNS) record that identifies the mail servers authorized to send email on behalf of your domain.
The purpose of the SPF record is to prevent spammers from sending messages with forged sender addresses internal to your domain, or pretending to be your sender even if you are not a user of your organization who has access to the use of your email address. Recipients can check the SPF record to determine if a message that appears to come from your domain comes from an authorized mail server and following this check decide to discard it as SPAM or accept it and deliver it to the recipient's email address.
Who should enter this SPF Record?
If you have mail handling with us, you have a correct SPF record in order to pass spam checks, see your mail delivered, and increase forwarding speed.
- If you have DNS management from us, if you don't already have it, we will enter the correct SPF configuration for free.
- If you don't have DNS management from us instead you will have to independently enter the following SPF configuration, or possibly ask our commercial advice to do so.
Managedserver.it uses only the following SPF configuration on all mail domains in our management:
domainname.it. IN TXT "v = spf1 include: hostalo.it include: managedserver.it include: managedserver.eu ~ all"
